Administrator walkthrough
This guide covers the recommended order for launching a community in PlexSub. It is written for the first administrator of a new installation.
1. Check the main dashboard
Review member, subscription, request, and revenue indicators. At this stage, confirm that the installation is healthy and identify services that still need configuration.
2. Connect essential services
Open Settings > Services and configure your Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby server first. Then add your request provider and automation tools if you use them.
3. Define access and memberships
From Administration, review plans, access rules, and memberships. Start with a small, clear set of options and verify which services and libraries each plan can access.
4. Personalize the customer portal
Review your community name, colours, copy, and help links. The customer portal is where members see access, requests, payments, and notices.
5. Run a complete test
Use a test account to accept an invitation, sign in, view the portal, and submit a request. Confirm that automations and notifications behave as expected before inviting your community.
