Choose the integrations you need
PlexSub does not require every service. Start with your media server, then add only tools you already use at home.
Recommended order
- Connect Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby.
- If you accept requests, set up Native requests or Seerr, Overseerr, or Jellyseerr.
- Add Radarr and Sonarr once they work on their own.
- Add downloads, subtitles, statistics, or notifications only when they are useful to you.
After each connection, use Settings > Services to save and test it. A configured integration is not ready until its diagnostic succeeds.

Invitations, statistics, and maintenance

Notifications and payments
You can use SMTP for email and, when useful, notification services such as Discord, Telegram, Apprise, or Notifiarr. Subscriptions and payment providers are optional; keep the payment provider as the primary record.
Read notifications and payments and email before enabling a webhook or sharing a public URL.
Before enabling an integration
- Confirm that the external service works without PlexSub.
- Use a URL that the PlexSub container can reach.
- Create an API key or account with the minimum required permissions.
- Never include tokens in screenshots, tickets, or messages.
- Test with a controlled user account.
- Disable or pause it when you do not use it.
